INSPIRE BY FIGHTING MONKEY PRACTICE WITH OLIVIER
At Inspire by Fighting Monkey you will experience a combination of movement situations and individual practices. The rhythm of society we are living influences our physiology, our thinking and day-to-day behavior. We will explore how stressors and pressures affect our perception, our physical reactions and our ability to take creative action. Do you currently find it difficult:
- to slow down and experience restlessness in the body
- feel disconnected from your own voice and boundaries have recurring resistant tensions
- feel efficient and crave for new exploration & play
Expect a dynamic exploration space where you’ll both practice alone, engage in observational exercises as well as be tested in partnering with others.
- How adaptive is your movement in complex situations?
- Where do you tend to store tension in your body?
- What are you still holding that could free up your motion?
- At this workshop you will experience: Zero Forms to improve the communication between your joints. Through a continuous spiraling sequence you will develop more resilient lower body, free your chest region and vitalise your spine.
COORDINATIONS FOR ELASTIC AND EFFORTLESS POWER
Rhythmical and coordinative movements will test your ability to decode new information and nourish the elastic qualities (“that youthful bounce in our step”) that we tend to lose as we age. Movement situations to test your behavioral flexibility. Partnering, abstract practice tools and obstacle games will be used to test how flexible your movement quality, communication and behavior are in a non-linear environment. Play games. Expose yourself to difficulties. To support adaptability, longevity and sustainability. There are no restrictions or prerequisites, in terms of former experience and background, for anyone who wants to join an Open Workshop. Groups usually consist of people from various fields and levels of skills but anyone can easily find their place to work and explore. This workshop serves as a basic introduction for further study of Fighting Monkey Practice.
FM practice is developed by founders Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetanea through a deep study of cross motion analysis, and with the aim of understanding principles of human movement, communication and the ageing process.

A self-regulation orientated body work method that he uses with individual clients. Read more about it below.
WHAT IS THE VEGETATIVE
The method starts from the theory that experiences are stored in the body. Some of our experiences stay with us as unresolved conflicts acting as protection mechanisms or ‘body armour’ which are growth-limiting.
In Vegetative Training we work with the knowledge of our instinctive body language: from the tone of voice, skin, eyes, mimicry, postures, body fat distribution to the movement when you are breathing.
You can compare the process of armouring in the human body it to sand in a machine. When these structures are loosened, motion flows and becomes easier and you use less energy. Just like everything else in nature, you have an inherent self-regulating or self-healing capacity.
VGT INTRODUCTION WORKSHOP
Olivier will give an introductory talk and guided experience on Vegetative Training on Sunday morning. A self-regulation orientated body work method that he uses with individual clients. Angela Boscardini will share her own story of having experienced the method firsthand throughout a consistent period of one year.
After the introduction there will be a small amount of time slots available to book individual sessions with Olivier.
