WORKSHOP
INSPIRE BY FIGHTING MONKEY PRACTICE

WORKSHOP FRIDAY 08 & SATURDAY 09 SEPTEMBER
Inspire By Fighting Monkey
Which games do you play to stay young? At Inspire by Fighting Monkey you will experience individual practice material and movement situations. We will help you to understand the underlying principles of human motion and how stress and pressure affects our perception, behaviour and ability to take action.
How creatively adaptive are you in complex situations?
At this workshop you will experience:
- FM Zero Forms “Joint Articulations” practice for a more resilient lower body and healthy spine
- Coordinations to develop and sustain elastic and rhythmical ability that we lose as we age
- Movement situations to test the adaptive quality of your movement in a non-linear way
We aim to nurture imagination, improvisation and creativity - which are vital to problem solving.
Play games. Expose yourself to difficulties. To support adaptability, longevity and sustainability.
There are no restrictions or prerequisites, in terms of former experience and background, for anyone who wants to join an Open Workshop. Groups usually consist of people from various fields and levels of skills but anyone can easily find their place to work and explore.
This workshop serves as a basic introduction for further study of Fighting Monkey Practice. FM practice is developed by founders Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetanea through a deep study of cross motion analysis, and with the aim of understanding principles of human movement, communication and the ageing process.
BONUS: VTG INTRODUCTION - SUNDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER
Book the Inspire By Fighting Monkey Workshop and you will get a free spot for the VGT Introduction Workshop where Olivier will give a 90 minutes introductory talk and guided experience on Vegetative Training. A self-regulation orientated body work method that he uses with individual clients. Read more about it below.
The method starts from the theory that experiences are stored in the body. Some of our experiences stay with us as unresolved conflicts acting as protection mechanisms or 'body armour' which are growth-limiting.
In Vegetative Training we work with the knowledge of our instinctive body language: from the tone of voice, skin, eyes, mimicry, postures, body fat distribution to the movement when you are breathing.
You can compare the process of armouring in the human body it to sand in a machine. When these structures are loosened, motion flows and becomes easier and you use less energy. Just like everything else in nature, you have an inherent self-regulating or self-healing capacity.

Olivier will give an introductory talk and guided experience on Vegetative Training on Sunday morning. A self-regulation orientated body work method that he uses with individual clients. Angela Boscardini will share her own story of having experienced the method firsthand throughout a consistent period of one year.
