Workshop with Virgil Spier
Virgil is a former Olympic athlete from The Netherlands with almost 30 years of practice. After various international bouts, he decided to use his training philosophy to become the very best coach he can be. During and after his career he started to seek out knowledge of several world renowned trainers, therapists and coaches and learn from them personally. During this period he came into contact with what is now known as the Movement Approach. Together with his business partner he created the company MovementBasedAthletics (MBA).
What will you do?
Becoming the most kickass one hundred year old. A simple sentence with a simple idea. An idea which will not only teach you invaluable ways of improving your mobility but also teach you The Why from a scientific, experienced and holistic point of view.
The two major perspectives that will be experienced will be one of relieving bodily aches and pains and how to better your athletic performance without sacrificing ‘The When We Are Old’. These two perspectives can not be viewed separately if we want to enjoy a high quality and painfree life.
In these two days you shall :
*Experience the four basic methods of mobility and why each of them are important
*Learn why your nervous system can be your biggest asset or your biggest downfall when it comes to mobility
*Learn how to combat the pains and aches in the body
*How to detect pains earlier before the become a problem
*Learn a method for bettering your athletic skills
*Experience the most important forgotten practice if you want to increase your quality of life: Movement situations
*The first thing we lose as we grow older and how to NOT lose it.
